Size Guide

Dancewear needs to fit close to the body to move with you. Because our range is made to a variety of international patterns, we recommend measuring before you order rather than relying on the size you usually wear.

How to measure

Use a soft tape measure, keep it level, and measure over close-fitting underwear rather than clothes.

  • Bust / chest – around the fullest part, under the arms.
  • Waist – around the narrowest part of your torso.
  • Hips – around the fullest part of your seat.
  • Girth (leotards and unitards) – from the middle of one shoulder, down the front, through the legs and back up to the same point. This measurement decides whether a leotard fits comfortably through the body.
  • Inside leg (tights and unitards) – from the top of the inner thigh to the ankle bone.
  • Foot length (shoes) – stand on a sheet of paper, mark heel and longest toe, and measure the distance in centimetres.

Choosing your size

  • Every product page has its own size chart in the description or images. Always check the chart for the item in front of you – sizing is not identical across every style.
  • If your measurements fall between two sizes, size up for costumes, tutus and outerwear, and size up for leotards when the girth measurement is close to the limit.
  • Fabric with a high elastane / spandex content stretches more; cotton-rich and structured pieces have less give.

Children's sizes

Children's items are usually labelled by age or height (for example 4–5Y, or 120cm). Age labels are a guide only – measure your child's height and girth and match them to the chart on the product page. If your child is tall for their age or between sizes, choose the larger size.
